Accidents Closed Parts of US 13 in Delaware

wikipedia.org

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Several crashes closed U.S. 13 in both directions for at least five hours near New Castle.

The News Journal reports the highway was closed from Hamburg Road to the U.S. 13 split with U.S. 40. At 10:30 a.m. the southbound lanes had reopened, but the northbound lanes were still closed.

Two people were taken to a hospital after one car struck a pole and knocked wires down across the highway. Utility workers have gone to the scene to make repairs.

South of that accident, a tour bus became stuck in the median and was blocking the northbound lanes of U.S. 13.

Further south, two tractor-trailers were reportedly involved in separate accidents. One apparently spilled its load of milk.
