Juliette Bell, president of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, will be headlining this year’s 27th annual Martin Luther King Junior banquet in Salisbury.
Jesse Ballard with the Tri-County Organization’s Coalition Incorporated told the Salisbury Daily Times that Bell was a perfect fit for this year’s theme: “From a Dream to A Reality: The Challenge."
Ballard said that given her age and profession Bell represented just how far the dream has come.
She said that her organization is expecting as many as 800 people from the Lower Shore to attend the banquet.
