Delaware Tea Party Attacks "Smart Growth"

The tea party movement in Delaware has turned its attention from the President’s health care plan to smart growth policies in the First State.

Christian Hudson, a Lewes developer and member of the 9-12 Delaware Patriots, told the Wilmington News Journalthe movement has refocused its efforts on land rights.

The new direction comes from the 1992 United Nations Agenda 21 that praises smart growth as a way to achieve sustainable development.

Ever since the US Supreme Court ruled Obamacare constitutional the Delaware Patriots’ email newsletter…has targeted agenda 21 as an effort to eliminate private property rights through excessive regulations.

In Sussex County the battle lines are likely to be drawn over effort to control sprawl with policies to encourage development near towns that already have existing public infrastructure.

Roberta Carol a Milton retiree told the News Journal that she wants the Sussex county Council to declare that it will resist policy initiatives aligned with smart growth.
