Jury Decision Could End Salisbury Wastewater Treatment Case

Construction Dynamics Group, which oversaw the building of the failed sewage treatment plant for Salisbury, will have to give back $2.1 million that it was paid to do the work.

That’s the ruling a by local jury which could possibly end the city’s two-year quest to hold the companies involved in the failed project responsible.

The city had asked for $2.7 million that accounted for all of the money that it gave to the company from 2005 to 2009.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that a representative of CDG which is a subsidiary of the Dutch based Arcadis declined to say if they would appeal the decision.

The $80 million upgrade failed to cut nutrient pollution at the plant to levels required by state and federal environmental officials.
