Farmers Market to Remain in Downtown Berlin

In Berlin town officials and farmers market vendors say…they believe they will be staying in downtown – their home for the last 19 years.

There had been plans to move the market from the downtown parking lot to the town’s parks just off of Route 113.

Dozens of farmers market vendors and customers attended an October 22nd meeting at the Town Hall to voice their opposition to the plan that was put forward by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor Gee Williams, councilmember Lisa Hall and the town economic and community development director Michael Day met with all of the venders about the future location of the market.
