Salisbury University ranks Number 8 in a study “Election? What Election” that measure’s the least politically active students among colleges.
That’s better than last year when the University ranked Number 3 in the Princeton Review’s ”The Best 377 Colleges, 2013 Edition.”
Jeanne Krier is a publicist for Princeton Review Books which compares responses from students who attend each featured school.
She told the Salisbury Daily Times the ranking is based on the question:
“How popular are political/activist groups on your campus.”
In 2009 and 2010 Salisbury University ranked number 1 while ranking number 2 in 2008.
The Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement on the SU campus has hosted a number of forums ranging from ballot measures like the Maryland Dream Act and same-sex marriage to a debate by the Maryland US Senate candidates.
