Today there will be a community meeting to lay out the reduced operating hours at the Eden Post Office.
The meeting will be held in Eden beginning at 2 p.m. at the facility on Eden Allen Road just off of southbound Route 13.
It is part of a nationwide plan that has been scaling back hours for customer use that will be phased in over the next two years.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that another part of the plan known as Village Post Offices will provide information on where customers can buy postage stamps and other postal products at local businesses and libraries.
