The campaign is on for Governor Jack Markell.
The Delaware Democrat kicked off his campaign this weekend with eight stops as he toured the state.
At the Delaware City stop Markell spoke to many workers who were hired back when the refinery re-opened in 2011 after being shut down for a long time.
He told the crowd that his administration was focused on putting people back to work like getting the refinery reopened.
Markell made stops at other businesses in towns ranging from Bethany and Milford to Dover and Wilmington.
The incumbent is expected to be re-elected when he faces his Republican opponent Jeff Cragg in November.
