Ocean City Gets New Communications Manager

OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - Ocean City has named a former police spokeswoman as its new communications manager.

The Daily Times of Salisbury reports that Jessica Waters beat out nearly 100 other applicants for the position. The 28-year-old replaces longtime Ocean City spokeswoman Donna Abbott, who has been promoted to tourism director.

Waters has worked for the police department since 2007, and spent a year in a part-time advertising and marketing role with Northside Park.
