Delaware Republican Sher Valenzuela, who is challenging Lt. Governor Matt Denn in this fall’s elections, has been given a prime-time speaking slot on August 28th at her party’s national convention in Tampa.
Valenquela and her husband founded an upholstery manufacturing business in the late 1990’s in Milford. Her address will focus on small business growth.
Reince Priebus, national chair of the GOP, said he was thrilled with her appearance and said he saw it as a way to tell the nation about her experience as the owner of a small business.
Valenzuela recently joined Priebus in criticizing state involvement in the Fisker Automotive plant in Newport which has been delayed over federal funding issues.
