And police as well as Public Works personnel are ready as the city of Salisbury gears up for the Red, White and Boom fireworks display set for July 4th.
Mike Dunn, former City Council President and the current interim manager at Delmarva Public Radio, led the effort to organize the event.
He noted this would be the first time since 2006 that the town has had a fireworks display.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that they will be discharged from the old Shoreland Freezers site on the campus of Salisbury University along Bateman Street.
The $20-thousand dollar display could be visible from as far away as a mile reaching a height of 600 feet.
The official viewing area includes the outfield of the baseball field and intramural field on the campus.
But event planners said the James M Bennett High School and Bennett Middle School athletic complexes will be open to the public.
