The Delaware-based Maxima 900radio station will be hosting the Maxima Summer Fest in Salisbury on June 21st.
The station is the only 24/7 Latino station in the area broadcasting both Spanish and English programming and music to reach an underserved but growing population.
Jackie Lisjuan the accounts executive with the Hola Media Network which owns the station told the Wilmington News Journal there are more and more Hispanics becoming professionals going to schools and calling the region home.
The station was created three years ago.
Hola Media CEO Kevin Andrade said the goal was to become the area’s first full-time Spanish-language radio station.
In October the station added the 106.1 FM frequency which has a tower in Pocomoke City and reaches as far as Georgetown.
