Poodle Show Opens in Salisbury

Poodles are arriving in Salisbury for the 80th annual National Specialty Show.

It’s hosted by the Poodle Club of America and is being held at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

This year’s theme is entitled, ”Poodles Over the Rainbow”, which is estimated to bring in $2 million into the local economy benefiting area businesses.

The event has been on the Lower Shore for the last 16 years.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the Civic Center is equipped with a special turf floor with agility trials in which poodles run up teeter-totters weave through slaloms and move through cloth chutes.
