Occupy Delaware Protester Arrested at Sheriff's Foreclosure Sale

Sixty-one year old Occupy Delaware protester Stephen Cotrell of Pennsylvania got himself arrested yesterday after he allegedly disrupted a sheriff’s sale in New Castle County.

He was cited for disorderly conduct and released.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that this is the first time…that a supporter of Occupy Delaware has been arrested since the group has been protesting the foreclosure sales in November.

Jen Wallace with the group told the paper that the question of being arrested…is left up to the individual protester.

Meanwhile, County Sheriff Trinidad Navarro said that he did not want it to get to the point of arresting anyone but in this case he added there was no option.
