WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware's lieutenant governor and attorney general are unveiling proposed legislation to crack down on bullying in schools.
Lt. Gov. Matt Denn and Attorney General Beau Biden planned to discuss the legislation at a news conference Friday. They also will talk about their work on cyber-bullying.
Denn noted last month that he was working with Biden to improve the reporting of bullying incidents.
When a bullying incident occurs, schools are required to notify the parent of the victim and the parent of the student who did the bullying. But according to Denn, a lot of those required reports aren't happening. He noted that he and Biden planned to unveil legislation to address that problem.
