PlanMaryland Stirs Opposition on the Eastern Shore

Governor Martin O'Malley issued an executive order, PlanMaryland, that calls for state and local governments to coordinate development.  However, rural legislators and local government officials are opposed with one calling it "a war on rural areas".  Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush explores the issues with State Planning Secretary Richard Hall and Wicomico County Council member Gail Bartkovich during their appearances on Delmarva Today.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
