History of Women on the Supreme Court

Book Cover

With the prospect of another woman joining the U.S. Supreme Court, it has been a long journey for such representation. Women were often on a shortlist before Sandra Day O'Connor finally was appointed to the bench. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with Hannah Brenner Johnson, co-author of "Shortlisted: Women in the Shadows of the Supreme Court," about the dynamics of these appointments, in this excerpt from this Friday's Delmarva Today.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
