HIV Takes Toll on African American Community

Even though African Americans make up 13% of the population, they account for 40% of those diagnosed with HIV. In addition, 55% of women diagnosed with HIV are Black women. Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talked with Dr. Timothy Harrison, Principal Deputy Director and HIV Team Leader of the U.S. Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy about awareness efforts within the community.
