Congress is now moving to provide $25 million to help shore up Tangier Island against the erosion that is slowly eating away at its shoreline. In our week series with the Bay Journal Delmarva Public Media's Don Rush talks with staff writer Jeremy Cox about the fate of the island. For a full exploration of the environmental challenges facing the island you can hear more on Cox's podcast Chesapeake Uncharted episode 6.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
