Perdue HQ Will Not Move to Delmar

Perdue Farms will not be moving its Agribusiness Headquarters to Delmar, Delaware.

The company notified the Delmar town manager of the decision not to leave the current site in Salisbury this week.

WBOC reports that talks about such a move began nine years ago and the company had announced it had closed on a property in 2015.

The town manager Sara Bynum-King told the television station that she was disappointed but respected the company’s decision.

The company would have brought 200 corporate jobs to the town.

Meanwhile, Perdue has said it will donate the property worth nearly $280-thousand to the town.
