Prominent Attorney Represents McDole Family

The family of the man who was shot by Wilmington police while in a wheel chair has hired the lawyer who secured $6.9 million in the death Freddie Gray in Baltimore.

William Murphy was in Wilmington yesterday and told the News Journal that he hopes to find justice for the family of Jeremy McDole.

The 28-year old McDole was shot and killed by police in late September after he failed to drop the gun that he was holding.

Murphy said that the family is conducting an independent autopsy adding that the family had not yet gotten the autopsy conducted by state officials.

The incident was caught on a cellphone video and has caused angered in the local community.
