official photo

Delaware voters got a taste of the Democratic presidential politics.

A crowd of around 100 supporters gathered in Newark for a nationwide web-based broadcast by presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.

He told them that it was time to take the country back from the billionaires.

Sanders was hoping to reach around 100-thousand people who came together at round 31-hundred grassroots events.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that when Sanders spoke about combatting income inequality and institutional racism he got cheers from those in Newark.

In Delaware the paper reports that Sanders has raised around $24-hundred from donor, while Hillary Clinton has raked in over $20-thousand.
