Attendance Up at Delaware State Fair

The Delaware State Fair saw attendance up by over 25 percent from last year registering nearly 282-thousand visitors.

With 55 rides and attractions the carnival gross exceeded $1 million or up 18 percent from last year.

Among the headliners on the entertainment side were country stars Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum.

For adult attendees the fair introduced The Roost where they could relax and enjoy the local craft beers and wine.

The competitive livestock also remained a major attraction with the number of animals exhibited in the poultry department up by 29 percent.
