Former Miss Delaware Teen USA pleaded guilty to an alcohol possession citation and paid a $100 fine and faces one year on probation.

The charge stems from an August traffic stop last year, when King was driving from a job as a waitress in Ocean City back to her Bethany Beach Area home.

Her attorney J. Gregory Hannigan said that this would allow 19 year old Melissa King to get on with her life, after giving up her crown in the wake of a sex-tape scandal.

A video was posted on a port website last year, but this February it claimed the tape showed "Miss Teen Delaware.

Her attorney says King plans to attended college this fall as a first year student somewhere in the west.

The runner up in the contest, 18 year-old Hailey Lawler will not compete for the state of Delaware in the Miss Teen USA contest in August.
