Shuttle Ride Prices To Go Up in Ocean City

Paying $1 to ride all day is no longer an option for visitors leaving their car at the Ocean City Park & Ride and taking the bus in and out of town.

The city council has voted and is now giving the public two choices: pay $1 each time they board or buy a $3 ride-all-day pass.

In-town, bus fares were already $1 per boarding or $3 to ride all day.  The change will make riding the shuttle alone more expensive than previously.

The price adjustment stems from decreases in bus fare revenue on the coastal highway route, and higher operating costs of municipal buses.

The change will go into effect at the end of April.
