Harold Wilson offers a reflection on the war in Ukraine with retired Navy Commander Scott Slater. Slater is a graduate of the Naval Academy and is a former F/A-18 single-seat fighter pilot. During deployment with the French Navy, he patrolled the UN no-fly zone over Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Allied Services. Slater discusses the war in Ukraine from a tactical and humanitarian point of view and suggests how the age of social media might change a young conscript’s attitude when confronted face-to-face by the general population.
