Earth Day & The Chesapeake Bay

Don Rush

Today marks Earth Day and it's been over 50 years since it was first observed. Here on the Eastern Shore much has been done to improve the region's environment including cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay. Delmarva Public's Don Rush talked with Alan Girard, the Eastern Shore director with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, about the efforts and progress that has been made.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
