Delaware Lawmaker Wants $15 Minimum Wage

Don Rush

State Senator Bobby Marshall wants to raise Delaware’s minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2013.

WBOC reports that the Wilmington Democrat wants a gradual rise with a 50 cent jump annually for the first two years.

After that it would go up $1.20 a year.

He told the television station that something needed to be done to help low-wage workers as well as deal with the sharp increase in the poverty rate.
