NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - A new section of the Elizabeth River Trail will be open soon in Norfolk.
The trail is more than 10 miles of pedestrian and bike paths that run from Norfolk State University to roughly Norfolk International Terminal.
Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim will cut the ribbon and open the trail to the public on Friday at a new bridge along the trail.
The new section crosses Lambert's Creek.
Visitors to the trail have the opportunity to explore Norfolk landmarks, such as Harbor Park, Fort Norfolk, the Chelsea Business district and the U.S.S. Wisconsin.
