Longer Trail Hours Considered in Delaware

White Clay Creek State Park Website

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware parks and recreation officials are eyeing longer trail hours at a popular state park in New Castle County.

The Division of Parks and Recreation is seeking public input on a proposed pilot program to extend trail hours on selected trails at White Clay Creek State Park.

The proposed changes, requested by an advisory council and a group called the Delaware Trail Spinners, would allow for additional trail use in the fall, winter and spring seasons.

An open house on the proposal will be held Wednesday evening at the park.

The proposed pilot program, a questionnaire and information about the hours and trails under consideration also will be available online beginning Wednesday.
