Dorchester County has updated its 911 emergency services equipment.
Officials say it will double the capacity for responding to calls.
WBOC reports the improvements range from a new location within the existing building and new computers to a better communication system.
Still the staffers said there are many ways to improve response.
Completion of the project is expected to take place within six months.
