Mayor Jake Day kicked off his re-election campaign for another term ysterday.
He declared that Salisbury was the com back city pointing the municipality’s economic growth and the revitalization efforts in the downtown area.
Day pointed to the creation of 25-hundred jobs during his time in office noting that Salisbury was Maryland’s fastest growing city.
Meanwhile, his challenger Wayne King told WBOC that he believed that city needs to be fiscally more responsible and transparent.
In addition, he says he wants to bring more businesses to the city and to take a look at crime.
King will hold his own rally on August 24th at the Riverwalk Amphitheater.
