Habitat for Humanity to Build New Home in Worcester County

Construction will begin this fall on a new house by Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County in Bishopville.

Ashley Zlotorzynski said that it fulfills a lifelong dream to become a homeowner.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that money for the project comes from individual donations, sponsorships, grants and in kind contributions.

The paper adds that includes a $40-thousand donation from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.

Another $5-thousand came from Merrill Lynch which is owned by Bank of America.

The Worcester Habitat organization says it wants to end substandard housing with construction, rehabilitation and preservation.
