Successful Mars Parachute Experiment at Wallops

The Wallops Flight Facility saw a third successful parachute test for a mission to Mars.

It was conducted from a Terrier-Black Brant IX suborbital sounding rocket.

WBOC reports that the launch on Friday lifted the 58-foot rocket into the air at around 9:30 a.m.

It carried the Advanced Supersonic Parachute Inflation Research Experiment created by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, California.
