Piece World War II history is now docked in Cambridge.
It’s a Liberty cargo ship which was used to carry trucks and tanks around the world.
WBOC reports that the S.S. John Brown is one of only two remaining and operational Liberty ships from the era.
It was originally launched at the beginning of the war in 1942 as merchant ship.
The television station reports that it weighs around 6-to-7-thousand tons and is 441 feet long.
It is docked near Governor’s Hall at Sailwinds Park.
