Delaware Looks at Banning Powdered Alcohol

Delaware lawmakers are considering a measure that would ban the sale of powdered alcohol.

If they do that would make Delaware the first state to take such a step.

WBOC reports that the Lt. Governor’s office said the American Medical Association has called for a nationwide ban.

The organization says that the substance can be misused whether it’s by inhaling or ingesting it or adding it to alcoholic drinks.

Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long said that it could posed a potentially serious public health problem – especially for underage youth.

In addition, she said, it was too easily concealed and transported
