Delaware Malt Processing Plant Completing Construction

There’s good news for brewers.

Construction is wrapping up on a new processing malt processing plant in Laurel, Delaware.

Marc Musial, the regional manager for Proximity malt, told WBOC that he expects production will come in at 25-thousand tons of malted grain a year.

That’s around one million barrels of beer.

He notes that the malting process take around eight days.

Musial says after that it should be ready to be shipped by Christmas.
