Progress on Airport Road in Milford has been delayed until a second job can be completed.
Construction has closed Route 113 as crews make repairs including improving drainage and a fresh coat of asphalt.
WBOC reports that the project will need the city to dig up nearly 1.5 miles of road between Route 113 and Route 15 at a cost of $2.4 million.
This and other construction has pushed back the start date for Airport Road requiring additional detours and traffic backups.
Mayor Brian Shupe told the television station that a meeting on the construction is scheduled for May 22 to determine the start date for Airport Road construction.
