Delaware Gets $1.4 million from VW Settlement

Delaware will be picking up $1.4 million from Volkswagen.

The money is the result of a settlement in which VW admitted that it used a device to get around emission standards.

The settlement is with the federal government and ten states which adopted California’s stringent vehicle emission standards.

WBOC reports that Delaware Attorney General Matt Denn said that the settlement continues to hold the car company accountable for its egregious breach of public trust.

The money will be used for “an environmentally beneficial purpose.”
