Seven Delaware lawmakers have banded together to come up with a bill that would prevent another TransPerfect company situation in which the company is being sold.
The measure would require the Delaware Court of Chancery to wait three years before such a sale.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that it would also include the appointment of directors to break management deadlocks to avoid a sale.
The measure by state Senator Colin Bonini comes in the wake of a bitter legal battle between the two owners.
The sale will effect more than 35-hundred employees around the world.
