Some $5.5 million will be provided to deal with abandoned and foreclosed properties in Delaware.
It comes through Delaware’s Strong Neighborhoods Housing Fund which will leverage $15 million in private and other funding sources.
Governor John Carney who was joined by State Housing Authority Director Ana Ben Addi said this would help families cities and town across the state.
Under the program there will be around a 100 new or rehabilitated housing units.
For example, a half a million dollars will go to the Milford Housing Development Corporation for 10 units while another half a million will be provided to the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation for 10 units.
