The Wicomico County School system is mourning the loss of assistant principal David Allen Miles.
The 45 year old educator had been an administrator for several schools including James M. Bennett High School.
He was also a staff member with the Baltimore City Public Schools and was named Assistant Principal for Wicomico High in 2014 and Assistant Principal for James M. Bennett High School in 2016.
He was also a graduate of Bennett High in 1989.
WBOC reports that the school board and district expressed their deep sadness at his untimely passing.
