DANVILLE, Va. (AP) - A Danville brewery is set to receive more than $180,000 in state and local funds.
Gov. Terry McAuliffe's office announced Tuesday that Ballad Brewing will receive a $90,000 grant from the Virginia Tourism Growth Fund, and matching funds from the city.
The governor has been active in luring craft breweries to Virginia. California-based Stone Brewing Co. and Oregon-based Deschutes Brewery have both selected Virginia as their East Coast homes during the McAuliffe administration.
