BALTIMORE (AP) - Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine is scheduled to address the National Urban League.
Kaine is slated to speak Thursday morning at the group's "Save Our Cities" summit in Baltimore.
The Democratic and Republican presidential campaigns were invited to speak at the conference. Republican Donald Trump's campaign declined an invitation to speak.
The National Urban League is among the leading national advocacy organizations for African Americans. The conference has been focusing on issues such as poverty, housing, education and strategies to combat joblessness.
The four-day conference includes workshops presented by political, business, civic and academic leaders. It also includes sessions with experts on topics such as the economy, justice voting rights, education, business and health.
