The University of Delaware has fired Monte Ross as the men’s basketball coach.
The Wilmington News Journal reports that despite his ten years with the winning 2013-2014 season for the Colonial Athletic Association title his recent lack luster performance apparently led to his dismissal.
The News Journal reports that the departure of sophomore Kory Holden fueled the call for his firing.
The University says it has begun a search for a new athletic director.
