Dover Downs, First Profit in 2 Years

Dover Downs raked in a profit last year earning
$763-thousand in the last three months of 2015.

Much of it was due to the late NASCAR race and cutting costs by 3 percent or $5.3 million.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that at the end of 2014 the company registered a loss of $516-thousand.

Total revenue for the fourth quarter was $46.1 million – an increase of 8.7 percent.

2015 was also the first year that the casino made an annual profit since 2013.
