ODESSA, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Odessa.
Police say the crash occurred early Saturday evening on DuPont Parkway near Marl Pit Road.
Police say a group of motorcyclists, including 33-year-old Nicholas Russo, began passing in between cars as traffic crossed over Drawyer Creek. Police say when Russo tried to pass a vehicle on the narrow left shoulder he collided with a truck and was thrown from his motorcycle. Police say Russo, who was wearing a helmet, then struck a guardrail and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other motorists were injured during the incident, and no charges will be filed.
