Water Advisory for Cove Road Beach Ends

The water advisory has ended at Cove Road Beach where bacteria levels had shown higher than normal levels.

The beach was closed on June 25.

But the results from yesterday’s sampling found those levels have gone down.

The higher bacteria levels were attributed to storm water from heavy rains.

Wicomico County Health Department officials are reminding swimmers and others involved in water activities to be aware of the impact from heavy rains.

Roaring Point beach remained open for swimming.
