The Sons of Confederate Veterans in Delaware say the confederate battle flag at a Georgetown museum will remain despite the movement to remove it from state capitals and state license plates.
The flag at the Marvel Carriage Museum has been kept up by the organization since 2007.
It’s a nonprofit group that has no connection to the Sussex County government.
Jeffrey Plummer, leader of what’s called Delaware Grays, told the Wilmington News Journal that the flag is simply honoring those veterans who fought for the south.
But across the country governors have been moving to eliminate the symbol including in Maryland and Virginia.
Here on the Eastern Shore opinions were mixed about the flag.
