Cape May-Lewes Ferry Scraps Morning Trips Due to Ice

CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) - Ice has forced officials to cancel two departures for the Cape May-Lewes Ferry.

Wednesday's 7:30 a.m. departure from Cape May and the 9:15 a.m. trip from Lewes, Delaware, were scrapped because ice has accumulated in the boats' bow thrusters.

Workers are trying to fix the problem and officials will attempt to follow the rest of the day's schedule.

Travelers are urged to check with guest services at 800-643-3779 or visit the ferry's website at www.cmlf.com for more information.
